How TECNO is impacting Nigerians through its Spark Talent Hunt Initiatives

Nigeria is blessed with hardworking and talented people striving to bring their talents to the spotlight. However, the biggest problem is the absence of a free platform to showcase these talents. Having the right platform is fundamental to building one’s talent. Without it, it becomes nearly impossible to hit the limelight.

As a people-centric brand, TECNO keeps finding solutions to the needs of its customers one of which is helping young adults with a platform to discover and build their talent.

So, the idea for TECNO Spark Talent Hunt was born and this is in partnership with the artiste Teni Makanaki with a unique vision to be the go-to platform for all aspiring and genuinely talented Nigerians.

First introduced in 2019 by TECNO Mobile, the TECNO Spark Talent Hunt offers an opportunity for students to display their talents through an image or video submission. Stephen Maiangwa (a versatile rapper), Aluu Prosper (a creative artist), and Ojo Oluwaseun (a Fashion designer) emerged as the overall winners of the first TECNO Spark Talent Hunt and were rewarded with a year’s pocket money, an internship position, and a Spark smartphone.

In its latest edition, tagged the Power of Five with the launch of Spark 5 series, TECNO has expanded to 5 categories to provide more opportunities for all talented Nigerians to showcase their talents. These categories include; Art, Music, Comedy, Dance, and Fresh Up (Style/fashion). Five winners from each category were rewarded with N200,000 each while many more people win the brand new TECNO Spark 5 smartphone and gift items for their efforts.
